to anyone who's been reading my entry, i really am grateful. thank you so much.
i know, some might say i just want to show off because i write in English. fyi, i really am not that good in this language and that' why i am still learning. in fact, i am suck at it! anyway, i really have no intention to show off and be proud of it, plus by reading this you can actually improve your English too. though i know my writing's not that perfect and good. but at least you have something to read in English right?
i know, it just doesn't make any sense at all. *what am i trying to say ??* our lecturers encourage us to speak in English and do everything in English. even in our dream. but that doesn't mean that they are encouraging is to actually adapt in the western way of life. no.
my lecturer once said, "there's a difference between being outspoken and being rude." i hope you guys can accept the fact that the TESL students are demanded to speak in English so that they can improve themselves. of course i am talking about me too.
if anything, you can just ask me. hope i can help. :')

good..i agree..since primary school till now..i'm among those who were weak and not efficient in English..i never been able 'A' in any exam..but it does not weaken my spirit..a pressure to me when this semester to learn the major courses in English..ELT in special education..asyik2 use google translate when doing some course work..Lizarose teach me for 5 sem since PPISMP..she among the lecturers who always give spirit to me to improve english language proficiency..i need a person who almost with me to help me..but my family always speak in malay at home and no one who good in english..:( I only have friends to help, they always help me..but until now I still weak..I do not know how to change this problem..:( Ya Allah, give me a strength.......
ReplyDeleteit's a good thing you want to improve your english language. you should be proud of yourself. i recommend, you just read simple english text everyday. and try not to translate the language because language shouldn't be translated. :') if possible try to guess the difficult words according to the text. you can ask me if there's any problem.i'll do my best to help. :'D

Deleteif you feel like it is so hard to actually find meaning from the context, you can also look for it in the dictionary. :') for example, if you find a new difficult word, look for it in a dictionary and try to make a few sentences using that particular word. there's no need to make a long sentence, you can also make a simple sentence yet, grammatically correct.
ReplyDeletesometimes if we read the English novel by European or American writers, we should understand the culture too. because there are some parts of their culture are using certain words that might have different meaning in the context than the actual meaning that we look for in the dictionary.
i'm among those who are very happy when know that IPG student do not need to take MUET exam..but one day, i aspire to take Master..so i must take MUET someday..
